Hardly any other valley in Tyrol offers such an abundance and variety of climbing opportunities as the Stubai Valley. Due to its high alpine beauty and optimal conditions, the Stubai Valley is a paradise for via ferrata climbers.
Most of the free Keltter routes in the Kalkkögel and Pinnistal area are very serious routes with difficult protection options, in some cases in unreliable rock. These tours are reserved for very experienced alpine climbers.
Sport climbers will find that special experience in the insured climbing gardens of the Stubai Valley.
A number of multi-pitch routes secured by a bolt hook and a multitude of challenging alpine climbing routes can be found in the Stubai.
In winter, mountaineers particularly appreciate icefall climbing. The ice falls in the Pinnis and Unterberg valleys are among the most important ice tours in Austria. Beginners can try the sport on the ice climbing tower on the Stubai Glacier, also with a course offered by the Stubai mountain guides.
In winter you can climb in the climbing hall in Fulpmes.
The Adventure Park in Fulpmes, the largest high ropes course in Tyrol, offers 130 exercises in 13 courses, where children have just as much fun as professional athletes, because every now and then you can meet the ski jumping stars of the Stubai Valley Gregor Schlierenzauer or Andreas Kofler.
